Wear your Fitbit Air and your mechanical watch at the same time
Yes. Smartlet is compatible with the Google Fitbit Air. The Fitbit Air uses a proprietary pebble attachment system. Smartlet supports it via a dedicated adapter, available as a pre-order with shipping in September 2026. All health sensors remain fully operational. No modification to the mechanical watch required.
The Google Fitbit Air, released in May 2026, is a screenless wellness tracker built around a removable sensor pebble. It delivers 24/7 heart rate, heart rhythm monitoring with Afib alerts, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep stages, and up to seven days of battery life. Smartlet replaces your mechanical watch strap via the standard spring-bar system and positions the Fitbit Air pebble on the same wrist. The dedicated Fitbit Air adapter is currently available in pre-order, with shipping scheduled for September 2026.
How it works
Smartlet replaces your mechanical watch strap via the standard spring-bar system. Classic, Shadow, or Titanium. No tools required.
The Fitbit Air pebble pops out of its original band and clips into the dedicated Smartlet adapter. The adapter then mounts onto the Smartlet module. No modification to the mechanical watch.
Both watches sit on the same wrist. All Fitbit Air sensors maintain direct skin contact and operate normally.

Frequently asked questions
Can I wear a Fitbit Air and a mechanical watch at the same time?
Yes. Smartlet makes it possible to wear your Fitbit Air and a mechanical watch simultaneously on the same wrist. Smartlet replaces your mechanical watch strap via the standard spring-bar system and holds the Fitbit Air pebble against the same wrist. Both watches run at the same time. All Fitbit Air health sensors maintain full skin contact and operate normally. You no longer have to choose between continuous wellness tracking and your mechanical watch every morning.
When will the Fitbit Air adapter ship?
The dedicated Fitbit Air adapter is currently available in pre-order, with shipping scheduled for September 2026. The Fitbit Air launched on May 26, 2026, and we engineered a custom adapter to match its proprietary pebble system. We chose to ship later than the Fitbit Air itself to ensure the adapter meets the same finish and durability standards as the rest of the Smartlet range. Orders placed now reserve your unit and lock in your delivery slot.
Will Fitbit Air sensors still work when used with Smartlet?
Yes, all sensors remain fully operational. Smartlet positions the Fitbit Air pebble against your wrist with full skin contact maintained at all times. The following sensors continue to function normally: optical heart rate, red and infrared sensors for SpO2, skin temperature, accelerometer, gyroscope, and vibration motor for alarms. There is no interference with the sensor array, and Google Health Coach data accuracy is unaffected.
How does the Fitbit Air pebble attach to Smartlet?
The Fitbit Air uses a proprietary pebble system: the sensor unit pops out of its textile band and clicks into different band styles. Smartlet ships a dedicated adapter that matches this pebble system. You pop the Fitbit Air out of its original band, click it into the Smartlet adapter, and the adapter then mounts onto the Smartlet module. Setup takes under a minute, no tools required.
Does Smartlet damage or modify my mechanical watch?
No. Smartlet replaces your standard watch strap using the existing spring-bar system. It makes no permanent modification to the watch case, lugs, or dial. The process is fully reversible in seconds. Your mechanical watch is unaffected and can be worn independently at any time by reinstalling its original strap.
Can I pre-order the Fitbit Air adapter without a Smartlet?
The Fitbit Air adapter is part of the Smartlet ecosystem and requires the Smartlet module to function. If you already own a Smartlet bracelet, you can pre-order the Fitbit Air adapter separately from the Smartwatch and Fitness Trackers adapters set. If you do not yet own a Smartlet, configure your Smartlet One Classic, Shadow, or Titanium and select Fitbit Air in the connector options during checkout.
