Questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Which Daytona references are compatible with Smartlet?
All current and vintage Daytona references are compatible. Current references use 20mm lug widths. Some vintage references use 19mm. All are within Smartlet's supported 18-24mm range: 126500LN (steel, 20mm), 126518LN (Everose/steel, 20mm), 126519LN (white gold, 20mm), 126506 (platinum, 20mm), and vintage references from the 6239 onwards.
  • Does the Daytona's chronograph function work normally with Smartlet?
Yes. Smartlet attaches via the strap lugs only and has zero interaction with the case, crown, or chronograph pushers. All Daytona functions operate exactly as normal.
  • Is the Shadow or Classic a better pairing for the Daytona?
Many Daytona owners prefer the Smartlet Shadow's PVD black coating for its contrast against steel or gold cases. The Smartlet Classic's hand-brushed SS316L also pairs well, particularly with the steel 126500LN. Both finishes are fully compatible.
  • Does Smartlet damage or modify my mechanical watch?
No. Smartlet replaces your standard watch strap using the existing spring-bar system. It makes no permanent modification to the watch case, lugs, or dial. The process is fully reversible in seconds. Your mechanical watch is unaffected and can be worn independently at any time by reinstalling its original strap. Smartlet is engineered to watchmaker tolerances and tested with the same care that goes into the watches it pairs with.
